Poetry: Life Distilled

After reading my introduction, you guys might already know that I love poetry. Be it reading poems or writing them, i am a biiiiiiiiig poem fan :)

So here is one poem that I found on www.poemhunters.com :

Lonely

Lonely in a crowd,

Different from the rest.

Separate, apart

Because of change,

Experiences they can’t understand

Choices and experiments taken

Can I fit within their world

Relate on some common level

When my life and theirs

Exists on different planes

The gulf so wide,

Land so foreign
Miles away
Even at home

Last year, when i found this poem, i could connect with it to some extent, but i never thought that someday, this will become my reality. (For those who don't know, let me just add that i've lived in The [amazing] Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the first 14 years of my life and moved to India during June 2012 . )

 Moving on to the poem, the rhyme scheme is something that hooks me to poem but this poem dosen't seem to have any , yet it just makes me want to read it again and again.

  I don't really know anything about the poet ( my bad) , but google tells me he is a famous poet and his work has been greatly liked. This is where you can find all the poems that he has written from the year 2000 : http://www.raymondafoss.blogspot.com .
